Youjo Senki’s sixth display brings kami-sama’s master plan into light as Tanya gets cornered by almost every move she makes.
What is happening here is that Tanya is being told to take action on every border against the enemies, and since she doesn’t take any enemy lightly, you can guess what she does with them. She obliterates them. She strikes fear into her enemies with her brutal strength. Tanya thinks that this will make her popular and help her rise up the ranks easily. While that is true, what she’s doing is also exactly what Being X wants her to do.
While Tanya was fighting the Entente Alliance and brought down a bunch of fighter jets to everyone’s surprise, kami-sama possessed the dead pilot of one of the planes and told Tanya that a war against the heretic disbelievers where the whole world will be out for her head is about to start.
Now, the whole world isn’t against Tanya just because she’s a disbeliever; the whole world will be after her but for a different reason, which is that she’s going to be considered a big threat by everyone, being the Empire’s ace. Since she’s the commander of the rapid response force, Tanya is going to be seen on every front by the enemies. And with the higher ups planning on removing the enemies they can before a world war breaks out, she’s going to have to fight everyone. We already saw the enemy trying to get some data on the terrifying loli. Although they failed in escaping with the information they gathered, it still showed that Tanya is getting popular with the enemy (in a bad way) and they would look to try and kill her off first if she faces them.
What makes everything interesting here is that Tanya is doing all this–going at the enemy with her fangs bared–while thinking that this is going to help her secure a better future. But God is using these exact moves against her. Tanya continues to dig her own grave and she doesn’t even know it. This may look like a battle of wits, but it’s only Tanya who’s being outwitted by her Lord.
It is possible that we get a bit into Viktoriya’s past in the coming episodes but none of that really matters. Viktoriya looks like she’s from another country with her father being part of that country’s top brass. But she is hardly an interesting character. So we hope that they somehow use this to do something with Tanya’s character or show something about this loli.
This was another entertaining display with a whole lot of badass action which is all welcome; Tanya taking on the fighter jets being especially cool. Tanya now probably has an idea of what Being X is planning so she’ll have to come up with a counter for it otherwise she’ll end up losing, and that won’t be good for her health at all.
