Despite a few issues, and while it doesn’t manage to fix our general impression of the show, Shuumatsu no Izetta’s finale is a beautifully emotional spectacle.
Izetta’s penultimate episode is as a summary of everything the show has been in the build-up to next Saturday’s grand finale.
Izetta returns with a typically tragic episode that seems to foreshadow the show’s march to its big finale.
Izetta’s latest offering is slightly more satisfactory. While pacing issues remain present, the conclusions drawn by some of the characters give a real sense of payoff.
Izetta brings its persistent pacing issues into its latest entry. When the witch’s not fighting, she’s walking around town with her queen, with the now usual bits of foreshadowing inserted in between.
Shuumatsu no Izetta returns to its warring girl antics in a fairly subpar twenty-four minutes. There’s action, that much is for sure; but the progression is once again far too obvious.
Shuumatsu no Izetta has engaged itself in a downward trajectory. If this episode was intended as an exercise in time-wasting, then sportsmen will be glad to use it as reference.
Izetta makes an underwhelming return. While the charm is still present, the story’s progression and focus on the dynamic between the heroines narrows the series’ prospects severely.
