The demonic plans are put into action in Shingeki no Bahamut VIRGIN SOUL this week, but nothing goes as planned.
Azazel’s plan was heavily dependant on Nina showing up at the meeting point. But he forgot that Nina is a young girl who wants to enjoy the parade and the festivities. While the other demons put their parts of the plan into action, Azazel has to go find Nina and take her away.
But to everyone’s surprise, despite hugging her three times, Nina doesn’t turn into a dragon. She doesn’t even go red with blushing. It’s a big setback for Azazel, but it’s mainly his own fault. He didn’t have a backup plan in case things don’t work out with Nina. And since the demons placed all their hopes and dreams on Azazel, they didn’t have a plan B either.
Nina’s situation is most likely that she isn’t interested in anyone else other than “Chris.” She is seeing Azazel as simply “Azazel the demon” and not as “Azazel the hot guy” which is why she isn’t blowing up. She isn’t interested in him anymore and has her eyes set on Charioce only.
With no red dragon, the plan falls apart and the other demons start dying. In the end, only Azazel survives as the other two demons are killed. Their deaths are brutal and merciless: one is pierced by arrows while the other is crushed by the army’s big robot. Azazel had a lot of expectations for Nina and was hopeful that this would be a day of victory. But nothing went his way and he is now faced with utter defeat.
Bacchus has also defied Sophie and has refused to hand Mugaro over, though he didn’t explicitly say so to her. But Sophie is suspecting the drunk god.
The episode was pretty uneventful until the very last moments. The demons set everything up for some fireworks but Nina blew the plan, though not on purpose. She just wasn’t interested enough in Azazel to leave the parade for him.
Our Rag Demon is in quite the pinch now. He’s the only surviving rebel and is up against Charioce and his army. Charioce was aware of the demons’ plans to use the parade to launch their attack, yet he refused to back out of the parade and went anyway. He knows he can defeat Azazel and that is exactly what he will try to do right now.
Azazel is in big trouble right now and what he should hope for is that someone comes to save him. Mugaro disappeared from Nina’s side and only he can come to his aid. It should make for an interesting development if Mugaro shows up since Charioce is after him and the angels who demand him are nearby too. We’re hoping for some interesting stuff next week.
